"Very reasonable price and clean property. The staffs were nice and courteous. It was very easy to check in and out.
Also, the front desk staff spoke fluent English."
"Hotel was really for vacationing Koreans. Children were welcomed. Rooms were comfortable but there were no overhead lights near the beds and no end tables. Cleaning services were avaliable but several times we got back to our room in late afternoon to find the room had yet to be serviced. Hotel was near a famous Buddha temple but not centrally located. Walk over an idyllic bridge, cruise around in a ferry that is shaped like a giant duck or swan and admire the giant water mill when staying in this lake resort.
"The hotel is in a convenient location, close to Yeongildae Beach and Yeongildae Pavilion. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes along Haean-ro, making it easy to explore the area. The room was clean and decent overall, and the hotel offers underground parking, which is a nice bonus.
One highlight is that the Do Not Disturb café is located right at ground level. However, we didn’t find out about the discount for hotel guests until the last day, as the notice was written only in Korean. The café staff mentioned it when we were checking out, which was a bit disappointing—we would have appreciated knowing earlier.
The only downsides were that the lighting in the room was quite dim, and the air conditioning vent blows directly onto the beds, making it uncomfortably cold at night. It would be much better if both the lighting and airflow could be adjusted."
"Kolon Hotel was remodeled in 2023, so the beds and facilities (air conditioning, bathroom, amenities, etc.) were excellent.
However, perhaps because it was only a renovation, the window frames are still a bit outdated.
There weren’t any major downsides, but it wasn’t perfect either.
It offers great value for money, and the breakfast in particular was outstanding and delicious.
What I liked the most was the Time After Time exhibition. If you’re Korean, I highly recommend getting tickets.
The program was great, the facilities were well maintained, and there was a lot to see.
Both the kids and the whole family were very satisfied."
