"We liked it because it was very near the lake. We disliked it because our bedroom was filthy. There was thick dust everywhere in our room. The back of the tv was disgusting. The air vent was filthy, the upturned lamp shade in the bedroom had whole families living in there. Even in the corridors there were swathes of dust. "The Hilton Lake Taupo was a great hotel for us during our time in Taupo. They graciously accommodated us with a last-minute booking that rescued us from staying in a different hotel we had booked which ended up being bug-infested. The Hilton provided a clean room with a pretty view of the lake, and the staff were all super friendly."

"The hotel is in a really beautiful location and our room / balcony had amazing views over Lake Taupo.The room was clean and had all the amenities. The hotel is pretty old and the carpets in the corridors, the pool and the sauna could do with a refresh. Checking in and out was without a hassle and everybody working there had a smile on their face."
