"The room was neat and clean. The lounge had a nice place to sit by the fire as well as a good selection of beer and wine at the bar. You can easily walk into town from here. It’s a short walk with a sidewalk the whole way."

"It’s a motor lodge - we had a nice large room overlooking some of the high peaks . Room is large and you can control the heat. Mattress is firm but not overly so. Nice hairdryer and bathroom in general. Very clean. Carpeted (brown probably a good choice!) - might be useful to have a boot tray this time of year. "

"Town House Lodge was the perfect spot for our quick overnight. We got in late and the room was ready and waiting for us. The room was super chic and modern and very clean! It was also a great price. We knew we weren't staying long, so didn't want to spend a ton. This is also an excellent location - not far from main street. Would definitely stay again!"

"There was a lot to like ... the location is good, the hotel was clean, the parking lot was kept clear of new snow. But it's hard to get past the age of the building. There is a definite musty odor, but it's not too strong and is expected with a building this old. The floors are also quite slanted. I felt like I was walking down hill going from one side of my room into the bathroom. The thing I disliked the most was not having anyone at the front desk. I was told that I would get an email on...

"If you like a room that smells humid and like an old cigarette, this is a place for you. The room hasn’t been upgraded in a generation and the shower had water damage and black mold on the ceiling. The pool and hottub were shut down, and looked like they had been for a while. Of course they didn’t provide notice of any of this, especially to a family coming up to enjoy skiing, and all the outdoor activities the Lake Placid area has to offer, and would love nothing else but to soak in a hot tub...
