"This place is a small piece of heaven! Great service from all staff right from the very beginning. Before arrival - Comms were timely and accurate and helpful. "The rooms are okay and they are perfect for the price. However, the host did not tell us we would be sharing the house with other guests abs this caused a startle with those we found in the house already. The gyser was not working and this was on a 9degree Celsius weather where we had to take a night and morning cold shower. "The place was generally in good keep including the room, except behind the curtains. Spiders had spun their webs everywhere resulting in us having to ask the reception desk for spray to kill them, so this was a big no no to housekeeping. Dining area staff seemed absent minded throughout the four days there. Tranquil and refreshing overall although I found myself wishing that I had booked into a mainstream hotel on several occasions."

"This was way better than we expected! We stayed for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms are beautiful, the whole ranch is so beautifully decorated and well thought through. The food was incredible! (You do have to pre-order, they accommodated us for dinner within a few hours which was great!). Everyone there was so welcoming, the service was incredible! There’s a spa and lots of activities the whole family. We would definitely be back! "

"Everything was great about bushman’s. Staff were friendly and kind and the cabins were beautiful and modern. Only thing we had a bit of trouble with was a trainee at the desk who kept being left by himself and he clearly hadn’t yet been trained in some of the basic info so made it a bit difficult to get clear answers but he was lovely and tried very hard to help. Otherwise, no complaints "

"This was a one night stopover. The standard room was very small and looked over a putting green. The restaurant was closed on Saturdays but stayed open for guests. Very limited menu and poor food. The wifi was non existent. The grounds are lovely and the rooms looking over the river might be quite nice. "

"We stayed in backpacker accommodation (6 adults) which is rustic, but adequate, we had a very reasonably priced meal and a night filled with stars in a beautiful location. There is more upmarket accommodation in rondavels, which is very nice although still rustic. It was a great night away with no South African cell signal, so total peace. They said free wifi, but I didn't check"
