"Don’t recall booking an accessible room. Because of the adapted accessibility the shower wasn’t great. Wouldn’t have been perfect if not mobile but would have preferred a better shower that would have been in a room that wasn’t adapted for accessibility."

"Free parking with plenty of space. Good location. Friendly welcoming staff. Nice bedroom with good shelving and wardrobe space and it was warm and cosy. Only negative point was the bathroom which was tiny. Hardly room to turn round or dry yourself. Overall I would recommend the hotel but have to grade it good rather than excellent. "

"Better than expected, the room was well appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable, with 3 choices of pillows. Unfortunately the mini fridge didn't work in my room, but that wasn't a major issue. I ate dinner in the Grand Pacific restaurant, the food was good but it's quite a loud environment on a Saturday evening. The staff were also (literally) running around the place at times which didn't give me the impression that things are well organised, or that there are enough staff to handle...

"Very nice stay. Reception/checkin simple and they were polite. Room excellent. Aircon lovely bathroom and massive tv. Breakast included and was ok. Good choice but not pipping hot."

"The highlight for us was dining in the restaurant. Our server Amy was fantastic. The food was excellent value, and the service was just the right pace. The location is easy to reach and then less than a minute walk to the inner city. I would highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton York for future visits."
