"Only faults of the room are stained carpet, cracked windowsil & poor water pressure and heat in bathroom. Corridors in need of renovation and quite a few public rooms inaccessible due to work being done (it will be lovely when its done) The lodges look exciting, would love to stay in one. Evening meal and breakfast very nice"

"Upon arrival no staff was to be seen, but was polite and showed us to our rooms. A few hazards on entry grates raised up on tile flooring at entry ( trip hazard) lift doesnt work. We was there two nights no fresh towels or bedding. Had to buy our own toilet roll. Cleaness needs a good clean over, walls had stains, carpets need a good clean. Overall was warm, comfy. Its a hotel that would have alot of potential or would benefit a good make over. Pictures arent a true image of the hotel people are...

"Lovely place, really friendly and efficient staff.Nothing too much trouble and so helpful. Spotless! Great bar lounge and nice breakfast room. Had lovely room with four poster bed, after being upgraded . Slept like a log! Would def recommend. Only negatives would be tired looking carpets and expensive breakfast. The veggie one only had 2 sausages, though meat option had 3 and black pudding. However , during our party of 6 having breakfast, they ran out of tomatoes, black pudding and mushrooms,...

"Check in was very efficient with a little tour to help navigate our way around. Staff very friendly and helpful.Tasty cooked breakfast options plus fresh fruit dried fruit yogurt cereals and pastries. Spa facilities were lovely albeit the pool in February was quite cold. "

"We stopped off 1 night en route to Lincoln. On site parking & well appointed rooms. Bar & restaurant areas very pleasant and breakfast was excellent. Worth knowing the bar serves coffee & cakes so would visit again even if passing through."

"Very enjoyable stay. Only problem was parking. Long way to walk to the car park with bags, especially when you have mobility problems.
