"This is a beautiful hotel, easily accessed by one of the portals to the city. There is limited parking available on site. The lobby and breakfast area are lovely, Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the family rooms and it was large, comfortable, well decorated, quiet, and a short walk from the main hotel. We used the bikes cycling on the city walls; it was super convenient to have those on site. I would highly recommend this hotel for families."

"Decided to stay here because of the 5 star reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Yes it’s the opposite side of Lucca to the train station and outside the city walls but it was only a 30 minute walk because Lucca is so tiny. Gave me the opportunity to get my bearings. And only a 5 minute walk back to the wall. Was able to check in just after 11am. Room was huge as was the bathroom & both immaculately clean. And there was a kettle! Breakfast was fantastic and laid out with great care. Lovely...

"This was a great find. The hotel was wonderful ( but i didn't like my pillow) and Lucca is just marvelous. I want to give the hotel and location great raves though i would prefer it to be the best kept secret. Wonderful medieval village and concierge Simon could not be more helpful. What a gentleman! "Beautiful 15th century villa , with manicured grounds . Restaurant was excellent, but rather expensive . Bfst was excellent. 4 km out of Lucca on Busy highway , so couldnt walk into town . Partially offset by a bus route appropriately 600 meters from property. Enjoyed walks in the countryside. Loved our stay overall !!"

"Room was entirely too small and was the only one between floors. You had to take an elevator and still walk up or down a flight of stairs. The only window looked out over a set of outside steps that were being used so no privacy. The bathroom was really dark and there was at least one light out in the bathroom. Very disappointing. "
