"Exellent resort right on the lake/dam side. We really enjoyed to chill out here for a 2 days break during our motorcycle ride in Sri lanka. Staff and and food were top notch. The resort offer a complimentary boat trip on the lake in the morning. The area is very peaceful as no boats with engines are allowed. The water is very clean and we saw no plastic or rubbish. The locals fish from small boats and from the shore. We saw many birds such as king fisher, white ibis and comorants on stilts with...

Fantastic quiet hotel with great service and food

"The Cubes is a modern clean hotel with comfortable beds and amazing views. The service provided by the team is fantastic and they will do and arrange anything to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel is out of town and is very quiet. Nice if you want to get away from the buzz of Ella. It’s a short Tuk Tuk ride away, which again the team will organise (500lkr each way). We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast there as well and would thoroughly recommend the hotel. "

"Really enjoyed our stay at Ella Retreat. The glamping tent was ideal for us, spacious and comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the waterfall was amazing! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, organising our (very tasty) meals, tuktuks and laundry. "
