"Staying at a castle is an adventure in and of itself. The owners/our hosts Don and Jennifer, are a delightful young couple who have restored the castle and have been there the past 3 years. Very helpful with anything we needed. The breakfast was wonderful. The view was terrific and we had great fun enjoying a nighttime bonfire under a canopy of brilliant stars. We had a terrific dinner prepared by a French chef, Jean Claude and even went to the market in the morning with him and Don to pick out...

"Si vous êtes amoureux des endroits calme verdoyant des personnes souriantes et adorable c'est la bonne adresse. Belle chambre poutres apparentes salle de bain spacieuse. Le petit-déjeuner fait maison gaufres et confitures le tout dans un beau jardin nous avons même eu droit à la visite de Bambi au loin mais aussi de Pompon et Praline les chats de la maison. Une belle piscine vous permettra de vous relaxer après avoir visité cette magnifique région. "

"The beds were very comfortable. With a code we could get in without having to wake anyone up. Our little dogs were allowed to come with us. That was a relief. The owners were so nice to give us a late breakfast after we came in long after midnight after a wedding."

Nice little village in beautiful countryside. Would recommend to anyone."

"A very difficult booking in. The owner wasn't expecting our arrival. Many and various phone calls later the issue was resolved, but I have had to spend a lot more money than I had agreed on my original booking. Given the location, I had little choice, or relocate to an alternative several miles away. The hotel was good, but the breakdown in communication between Expedia and the owner is a major concern, personally embarrassing and unless I can get a refund for the difference, unexpectedly...

"We loved this hotel. Amazing setting on the river with picturesque views in two directions from our corner room. Utterly charming in every way. The self serve Italian coffee machine in the salon is fantastic. Walk to everything in the delightful village with many riverside park areas. We took short drive to Brantome for an excellent dinner. Can’t edit to go back!"
