"i was given a room i unpacked and tried to take a shower. No hot water. i phoned reception engineer arrived told me it was broken and to take a shower in the gym. I called reception again they charged the room i had to repack all my stuff. i moved rooms it had two showers. one no hot water one with hot water. the tap on the wash basin was loose and unable to be used. Net curtain on bedroom window would not close. i prepaid breakfast i went to breakfast expecting the usual buffer How ever No buffet. Not even a menu u basically get what the kitchen wants to give you. in this case Houmous bead and a boiled egg. and a glass of water. I asked for coffee. it was 08.00 am . told no coffee. black tea with milk ONLY. They changed £7 for this. i didn't eat and went again to reception. i asked for a refund for the breakfast I was told No cash in the hotel. When i started to call the police suddenly they found the cash and refunded it. I checked out immediately. Absolutely horrible hotel avoid it. "

"Everything was good. Yoga classes were too few so during my 5 days I caught not one class. Evening entertainment is repeated. For example they should have a more versatile performers for the people who like to hear Arabic or oriental music"

"Staying at Al Fanar is one of the best experiences in life. I went there with my wife, & we enjoyed each second of our trip. 1st; the hospitality is beyond expectations. The staff is very kind. I would like to personally Thank Mr. Hussein Al Ma'ashani for his extreme kindness and hospitality. They even offered complimentary coffee & fruit platter. The hotel is safe and quiet, the rooms are very clean, & the parameters are very nice to walk&talk, & enjoy the ocean from the different seating areas and cafes there. I wanted to have a dinner on the beach, so the hotel made it possible in just 2 hours,& made it a very unique & memorable experience thanks to Mr. Umlesh who stayed after working hours to make are that we are happy with arrangements. The dining options are vast,& the breakfast open buffet is great with lots of varieties (One can have the breakfast at Al Fanar,or at Rotana Hotel (5 minutes way from Al Fanar) One very enjoyable service you get to experience when booking with Al Fanar is a limitless free entrance to the adjacent AquaPark,which is a very nice experience with must-try slides, & the memories there are non forgettable. Another great experience we had with Al Fanar is the bike rental to ride around the ocean and areas of Hawana Salalah. Very great experience. What needs improvement in Al Fanar is the quality of bed mattress and pillows, plus the quality of Shampoo & Shower Gel they offer.The ones they have are below expectations. "

"It was one of the best stays I have over the world; thus every thing can be improved like the way to Alila; the first day we arrived very late at night it was a bit scary going through an old neighborhood with no lights. Constructing even a dusty road from the rooms to the sea would help a lot, especially for disabled or old people or children. Having garbage bins around would help the environment, guests and staff. Having disposable things in the Spa area and opening the Jacuzzi with the other free stuff like any other Spas in the world Last but not least dinner does not match the high quality of the breakfast. "I had previously stayed at the Intercity Muscat and was so impressed that I booked Intercity Salalah on my next trip. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and right in Central Salalah. Rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable although the bed was a little hard. It was nice to have a balcony but it was very small and not even a seat out there. Service here was absolutely impeccable. The staff cannot do enough for you. The pool is very small and very shallow. That was a little disappointing. Breakfast buffet was also a little disappointing but I don't think there were many guests staying there and having more choices would just lead to more waste. The hotel is very modern and clean. It was delightful to stay at. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation."
