"The hotel was very warm throughout it was hard to sleep. The bed was done and the mattress leaned to one side. The food was really bad, we had to send it back. Ordered veg curry and they brought chicken, they changed it and all I got was a watery curry sauce full of onions and the rice was clumped together. "Everything about Tankardstown is top notch, from the bubbly welcome you receive to every interaction with the most accommodating staff. We loved our two-level, lovely decorated cottage room that included a small kitchen. If you can get a room, don't hesitate to book. You'll love it. Next time I return I'm staying as long as I can!"

"This was a great choice as a budget-conscious solo traveler. The room was tiny, but met all of my needs. The bartender was so sweet. I came back to the hotel on a rainy, cold evening, and he made me a custom sandwich that wasn't on the menu. It was so delicious! All of the staff were really kind. "
