"We stayed in the new section and our room was beautiful but definitely had a small of drainage issues. Large indoor heated pool which was empty and a well equipped gym. Food was average to good but lacked signage. Beach bar lacked higher end cleanliness and put me off and poor welcome from reception staff on arrival. Reviewed given this is meant to be a 5 star resort. Definitely walk up along the beach where it opens up and is just beautiful.....a hidden gem the river merges into the sea "

"This resort is incredible! It's beautiful, on the beach, in a great location, & the breakfast was amazing!! The buffet was huge with so many selections. The spa & pool area were wonderful, you really felt like you're on vacation with things such as a swim up bar, chairs on the beach and 2 pools to choose from. "Literally couldn't fault this wonderful hotel. Ultra friendly, helpful staff, so clean, convenient for local restaurants/supermarkets etc. It's a 30 minute taxi ride into Chania old town, although there are buses. Honestly, a perfect stay"

"The best hotel in Plantanias. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is always clean, accessible and full of character. Breakfast was superb and the restaurant by the beach a lovely venue to eat it. An area I would suggest improving would be the menus of the restaurants to cater more for vegetarians and vegans but this is not a criticism. "
