"It was fairly typical for a hotel in Africa. There was obvious maintenance that was needed in the bathroom - some peeling paint and an off-kilter cabinet - but the room was big enough for the four of us, and the A/C and hot water was as good as it gets and rather unexpected. The ceiling light in the bedroom was not bright enough, but we brought our own emergency lighting so that was not an issue. The woman at the front desk was very helpful in getting us our room. "Cheap hotel close to the Stadium Ahmadou Ahidjo. Hotel is dated and in need of some TLC but serves a purpose on a budget. Friendly staff and near to some lively bars. "

"I booked two rooms via hotels.com for Hotel Girafe in Yaoundé for June 25, 2022. I paid in full. On arrival at the property, I was told there was no reservation for me and that the hotel does not have any online booking capabilities. I showed my reservation numbers and emails from hotels.com, yet the hotel claimed that they do not have any online presence. So my question is how come they are listed on hotels.com and yet, say they do not have any online presence and bookings cannot be done...

From the pictures online who are completely outdated to the location which is mostly inaccessible, maintenance that is inexistant, ac not working, reptiles, hard as rock beds, cracked chairs, no internet, no local phones( not even to call reception) restaurant is closed. "The staff is welcoming and friendly. The place is clean, the buffet is nice 😋 the breakfast is delicious and varied. There was just some construction work at the gym, they had to update this detail. This was the only negative point for people who trained every day."
