"Fantastic hotel and spa. Perfect location for some scenic walking and a very pretty village, with a few towns just a short drive away. The staff at the hotel were all extremely polite and helpful. The room was lovely, clean and well equipped (home from home), with some fantastic views. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back again ☺️"

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The spa facilities were a real highlight—so relaxing and luxurious. "Absolutely no allowance for early check-in. Common areas are lovely and cozy. Great and plentiful breakfast options. We had a long haul to our room lugging suitcases up and down many sets of stairs."

"I liked the location, which was excellent, right in the centre of Ambleside. There are plenty of shops, especially hillwalking type shops nearby. It is possible to walk to the lake, but for me it was a long walk. There are plenty of buses to go to the lake, to Windermere, or Bowness-on -Windermere. The hotel has a dog-friendly bar, serving nice meals, with nice friendly staff."

"Staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The leisure facilities are fabulous and our children loved it. The roaring log fire was our favourite spot to sit and play a game or two."

"Definitely would recommend and stay here. Only criticism was that a dog was barking for quite a while in the dining / bar area. Don’t blame the dog but the owners should have taken the dog out. Def the Inn needs to introduce a 3 bark and your out rule. "
