"The desk staff was very helpful and let us shorten our stay a night due to a change of plans despite our having to deal with Expedia. Our suite on the 3rd floor was very clean, quaint and comfortable as is the rest of the hotel, and it was great having a smart tv to watch Netflix at night. I would give it 5 stars but my wife was disturbed by trains at night which could be heard, I slept through the noise and we were offered a different room when she mentioned it at the desk, which we declined,...

"The host family is kind and generous. They worked very hard to make us feel welcome. Our room was lovely with twin beds made up as a king; it had a bunk bed that we did not use. As in most of the places we stayed, wifi was slow; I used my cell phone data instead. Their breakfast was wonderful, with way too much delicious food, served in a lovely setting."

"We had a lovely stay. The service was incredible. The place is run by 2 sisters and their Mamma. Mamma's food in the restaurant was SO good! (Book when you check in. It's homestyle Italian (homemade pastas, grilled meats...) Things you will want to know if you are American or from northern Europe... "Our two-night stay in Sulmona could not have been better. This six-room hotel, run by two brothers, is modern, clean, convenient to the center, and comfortable (great bed). Breakfast will fit any diet. Heat is more than ample. We asked them to recommend a driver to could take us into the mountains for c. 4 hours, and one of the brothers volunteered for a very fair price. Recommended without qualification."
