Ok hotel.
Decent for the price. Rough neighborhood. Close to New Delhi train stn.
Really nice hotel. Close to rail station. Everyone is very helpfull. Old building but well maintained. Indian food is acailable around. Worth for money.
We booked a tour with the hotel to agra... and spent only 45 minutes at the Taj Mahal , but spended hours in the gift shops and little temples... other than that, the hotel is very noisy...
Room was old dirty and run down. There was never any hot water despite us asking repeatedly. Staff were constantly pushing us to buy tours, taxis, etc. they even called our room after midnight to see if we wanted a tour the next day. As to the location it is close to New Delhi railway station which is convenient but it is in a small lane which felt dangerous and there was so much noise from the street below it was really hard to sleep. When we left they tried to overcharge us for room service.
it was a first visit in delhi. i stayed in delhi for almost 16 days with different hotels. Chand palace is situated in old delhi. I am very happy to stay here. If i will visit delhi again. I would love to stay here again.
It should be Chand Lodge. This is lodge and not an hotel in any respect. Staff works for tips, rooms are dirty. Tap water is very bad. Hotels.com should remove this kind of bad hotels from its list for bookings.
All negative experience.
This is an OK hotel if you're not picky. You get what you pay for - but nothing more. When we arrived we got to choose between two rooms, and as there was cockroaches crawling on a tray outside one of them, we chose the other one. I thought I wouldn't have to find them there, but I found four during our stay - one of them in my bed...
The included breakfast wasn't good (continental/american), but okay. I didn't mind though, as the hotel had a good service when it came to sightseeing and we didn't spend much time in our room after all.
We rented a taxidriver to take us round the city for 8 hours both days, and he was the best! So, if you're coming to New Delhi to see the city, this is a very good option indeed. Ask for the driver "Deepak", he is truly amazing - promise.
pleasantly surprised by the all out helpfulness and accommodating attitude of the hotel management despite cancellation made by me and continuing with the reservation, recommended for budget travelers, not fussy about room size and appearance, and need clean place to sleep, served excellent complimentary breakfast.
Hotel Chand Palace was a bit out of the way and the taxis had trouble finding it, the rooms were basic but clean and adequate for our needs, staff helpful, especially the travel advisor and on our return visit at the end of our holiday we had an upgraded room which was nicer than the original.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Not the best location
We stayed for 4 nights and overall we weren't too disappointed considering where we were. The hotel had the potential to be really good, the fixtures and fittings were all first class however they weren't clean, we had to wear shoes in our room as the floors were so dusty, which we appreciate is a problem in Delhi.
Breakfast was delivered from the hotel around the corner and was limited in choice, the dining room was very dusty and grubby.
The area was not particularly safe especially at night and there were numerous touts and beggars all around but then again THAT IS DELHI.
This hotel was okay for the price. The room was spacious and clean. Room service was inconsistent as far as hours were concerned. The coffee was excellent and the little I did eat there was very good. However, when I checked out they tried to charge me for an additional person staying in the room one night, which did not happen. It was cleared up, so the outcome was ok--just be careful if you have a visitor.
The hotel is located in the heart of hotel central, and it is one of the nicer hotels. Customer service was excellent, our room was clean, we had hot water (although it took like 10 min to heat up), we had AC that worked, and a flat screen tv with cable. Good and inexpensive room service.
Not every room is the same. for example, there are mildew on the wall in my room.but the room he led me to see is better.
The sheet and blankets are dirty and have stains (this is a very basic requirement). The TV is not flat screen LCD-TV as shown in the picture.
service of the reception is not very good.
In conclusion, it's not worth the money.
Rooms were not very clean, I had to get my room changed, sheets were not clean, breakfast was ok..becareful about buying travel package from them, they will rip you off especially if you are a foreginer.Go to small tour company on araksha rd you will find many. I went to RS tours they gave me a good deal.Hotel chand Palace staff were nice but the managers were really bad,the managers have to be trained about customer service,Always found them manager sleeping on the sofa full blanket on.For the same price or less you can find better hotels on the same street. I think you can stay there one day and look for better place near by. Hope this helps.
