We are a couple who stayed here for 3 nights, from 27-30 October. We were very pleased with the hotel. It is a nice 4 star hotel and very well priced, making it great value.
It is very well located, almost in the middle of the walled Ancient City and in walking distance of everything in the Ancient City.
Our room was large, comfortable, with stylish decorations, a large king size bed, a sofa, a desk, a seating area spanning the bottom of the bed, TV with CNN, a nice bathroom, detergent for washing and a line for drying your laundry.
The breakfast is varied and fine, though the pastries and muffins inexplicably were always quite dry.
There is a sauna downstairs, with separate male and female sections. It is reminiscent of a Japanese bath house: small stools to sit on while scrubbing before bathing, then two pools (warm and very hot water respectively) to soak in, plus attendants who do body and feet massages. Suprisingly, 2 Chinese men smoked in the pool.
The hotel gets China Daily newspaper for public areas, but alas it is 3-4 days old.
