"Service was great. The property is beautiful. The only issue was Wi-Fi kept going in and out. But other than that, we were very happy. The town of Dominical is a minute up the road, it’s adorable. Manuel Antonio and Uvita are also just an easy drive away."

"The location of the property is beautiful, set back from the road and elevated for a great view of the Pacific. We particularly enjoyed the Happy Hour each day at 5:00 to enjoy the fabulous sunsets. The pool, the colorful plants, the toucans, tanagers, orapendulas and numerous other birds added so much to our visit. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Our 5 days spent at Cristal Ballena were top notch!"

"The hotel is very well kept as the surroundings. The food selection is very good and the prices are fair. There are a lot of activities for guests such as bird watching, hiking trails, horseback riding. There is also a Spa that offers diverse services. Excellent place to relax by the River Savegre. "After a very long day in shuttles from Puerto Viejo, Gilberto was a very gracious, friendly and welcoming host. He quickly got us into our room and albeit "Happy Hour" was over, he set us up with a couple beverages and let us get settled. Our room had all the amenities we needed with a nice balcony and view of the tropical gardens. The breakfast was good with several options, and the pool and lounging area were the perfect addition after a day at Bahia Ballena and other excursions. The staff, Jess at the front desk, the cooking and cleaning crew were all wonderful and very friendly. There is a grocery store/deli, Steve's, right at the corner which was great to have, and a restaurant La Fogata directly across from it, with many more dining options just a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed our time in Uvita and happily recommend staying here. "
