"I have stayed at Yaas several times for work. It is perfect for what it is - a dorm room-size hotel room with the bare bones for people who need a place to crash and get breakfast. Staff is just lovely. I'd go back there just for them. They can also help with airport transport. I have however noticed that the infrastructure could use a facelift. Still I would go back. A good value in a lovely quartier - my favorite in Dakar with its dining options by the sea."

"I have stayed at La Residence probably 5-6 times over the last 5-6 years. It is a lovely spot close to great dining options by the sea. Some of the rooms are quite spacious. The standard ones are fine. The pool and bar area are inviting. All of the staff are helpful but I would say that most are not very pleasant which is not usual for Senegal which is known for its Terranga. The property could also use a bit of renovation. But I am likely to continue to return unless another reasonably priced...

"Nice place to stay for a night in downtown Dakar. The staff is very friendly/helpful, the room was clean an the bathroom updated. We asked for extra pillows and a towel and they were delivered promptly. The breakfast buffet on the 11th floor gave a beautiful view of the city, but the food could've been better. It was ok, but some hot dishes were not replenished (eggs, sausage) and others looked soggy and overcooked. Otherwise, it's a good place to stay! "

"Hotel was very good with very large rooms. Room were clean and hotel was very quiet compared to the vibrant streets of Dakar. I used to stay in the center of Dakar but this was quite lovely. Hotel staff were very polite and friendly but need to be more engaging to guests. Breakfast was good but need improvement. Coffee station was almost empty and I can have only one cup for 3 times I went for breakfast. Besides it was all good and will love to stay there again."
