"Pros: very convenient location, right next to Da’an MRT station. In room safe. Cons: small room (executive suite). No in-room coffee maker - only electric kettle with 3-in-1 instant coffee. A/C unit can only cool, not heat the room. I set the A/C to 30C and it remains in cooling mode and the room never go to above 24C by my estimate."

"We enjoyed our stay. Yes, the Hotel Eclat is definitely eclectic. The sculptures at the front of the hotel and in the lobby are a curiosity. The rooms are quite nice. There is extra attention to detail in the cabinetry and lighting. And some high tech as well, with the TV, sound system and TOTO toilet. There were a couple of features that were interesting elements of design but could have been more practical. There was no shower door, so we had to be vigilant to not allow water to splash...

"Location is amazing once you figure out where your orienation is. There is access nearby to the metro east mall that leads undrrground to the Zhongshan Fuxing subway station if you need to avoid the street or weather. It was only a 2 night stay but would go back. Room was spacious and bed was firm for those who like it that way. Only the gym was closed for renovations and I didn't try the restaurant because thr food options nearby are endless"

"Upon arrival the room turned out to not be so clean as there was an empty condom wrapped on the floor. Furthermore, the walls were pretty thin and the other guests and people in the hallways could be heard. You could hear others showering, snoring, talking, etc. The room also included a disappointing breakfast, maybe the worst one I’ve had so far. For the price of the room, I would hope for a much better experience overall, but this is near the bottom of my list. "
