"Food was really good, staff and service other than first day when checked in was good. Room I checked in first was broken down - ac was making noise, bath plug was stuck and it could not come out, staff didn’t come to check waited for an hour. Then went downstairs and was moved to another room which was much nicer. "

"We had a perfectly good stay at the Dog and Partridge, but the accommodation didn’t transpire to be what we expect. We were anticipating a cozy room, in a country pub setting but, in reality, the D&P offers good value, chalet-style family rooms, each with it’s own car port, in a large area behind the pub itself. The pub itself has a nice enough bar, and offers fair evening meals, with a home-cooked feel, and a very good continental breakfast selection, or cooked options for just £6 extra. This...

"Got ourselves 1 Room Twin single for a night. It was good for it's price, reception were welcoming, room size is reasonably enough for 2 adults wanting a budget friendly and quality rest. Would stay there again if I'm stopping by Derby."

2 Families stay together for trip to Alton Towers

"2 families stayed whilst visiting Alton Towers. We couldn’t have stayed any closer, The Old Barn literally on the doorstep. The property have a very homely feel which made relaxing easy. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. We could even all sit together around the large table in the kitchen to eat together. Beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet. The only noise at night was our bed which creaked really loudly every time me or my husband moved dispute that we slept very well. Communication from Sarah the owner was excellent. If we go back to the theme park I would definitely stay there again. "
