"Beautiful stay at these gorgeous sea view apartments. The hotel reception staff were so friendly and helpful and we had a lovely surprise of some delicious complimentary cupcakes when we entered the apartment. The apartment itself had everything we needed for our stay and for my elderly father-in-law who now struggles with stairs, the added bonus of a lift that takes you straight into the apartment. "Loved the hot tub and private garden as we had 2 dogs. The walk in the forest was lovely and convenient as on our doorstep. If we were being picky, the road leading to the property was at times quite bumpy, so caution with speed is required, but what the property itself has to offer made up for it. It is a home away from home and a good place to getaway from the hustle of life."

"Lovely hotel - we had the executive double with sea view - very comfortable king size bed, nice white bed and bathroom linen, large room with two bucket chairs and great sea view, tea/coffee, lovely clean bathroom with very hot water and great shower. "Had a lovely 2 nights at the dolphin hotel with a lovely view of the water. The staff was amazing & locked our key in the room by accident and couldn't find spare key but they called a locksmith who got us back in. The hotel is lovely and food is amazing. Will definitely stay here again. Wish we had longer. "

Class on the clifftops

"We had a brilliant weekend. The staff were first class. The hotel upgraded our room free of charge when they heard it was our ruby wedding. The views from our room were nothing short of spectacular. Although the hotel is a little ‘tired’ in places it did not detract anything from the weekend. The hotel has character and class. It gives the impression of being remote, but it is tucked away on the top of the cliffs close to the main Whitby to Scarborough road. Food was very good and the bar had a great ambience. Highly recommend."

Very nice

"We were actually surprised that we had such a nice stay after reading the reviews. You get what you pay for at the end of the day and we paid £40 for a twin room. It was clean and comfortable we got a lovely sea view and the shower was great. The only problem was the check in we waited about an hour in the queue as they required photo id and a lot of the guests checking in were unaware of it so it held everybody up, thankfully we had ours. We would definitely stay here again. "
