"Nice spacious and comfortable. Not cheap though. And the early morning fire alarm was an effective wake up call. The grounds are attractive and it has a good seaniew"
"Nice and clean, well decorated but small. Very noisy road, and very hot throughout our stay. As the inside temperature never dropped below 24 degrees (19th to 24th June), we tried to leave bedroom windows open at night, but only did so for an hour on the first night, as there is so much traffic for most of the night, roaring up and down, so not had a lot of sleep. Took coffee bags with us as no coffee maker, as per previous reviews. Power shower was pretty weak but sufficed. Very small...
"The property was not that clean. Cobwebs on most curtains and in other areas. Its sleeps 5 people but only enough crockery for 4 and half of the plates had cracks. ( i do have photos). Over all a disappointment."

The cafes and restaurants are very popular. Be prepared to wait or look around. We went twice to the Yum Yumy House on Church St which is excellent.

Lovely town . Not many places to eat on a Tuesday as most restaurants shut open Wednesday to Sunday.

New Year's Day fireworks were great, and so many really good food outlets, a brilliant new cafe 'Brewed Awakening' and No1 Fish and Chips - gluten free and utterly delicious.

Out of season it's a little quiet & in the rain looked a little sad. The White Horse is out of town making it a relaxing spot to stay.

Not many restaurants catering for vegetarians. Nice promenade for walking, great church.
"Super friendly, helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Beautiful location. Dog friendly and convenient for walks from the hotel with access to Sheringham Park. The food was excellent, but not always consistent - I had sea bass on one day which was so delicious (and as described in the menu) that I decided to have it again on my last night, but it was no where near as good - missing the chives in the mash, the dill sauce on the fish and not served with peas all as described in the menu. I’m guessing it was a different chef on duty.
I was disappointed with a mix up/misunderstanding about my room - but I think that was because of Expedia, not the fault of the hotel. And the hotel did try to resolve it.
I will definitely return and will know which room to request next time!"
"I loved my stay, and it exceeded my expecations. The place is in a strange little back street which might look unpromising, but it's dead quiet and actually ideally placed just minutes from both the station and the cathedral. The place is very well kept, and simple but stylish. My appartment was like a Travelodge bed room and bathroom, but with a well-equipped kitchen and a living room thrown in too. The reception staff were all very pleasant and helpful and, overall, it was extremely good value for money. It would be my first choice on a return trip to the city."
"The hotel is a relaxing place to stay. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant was a pleasing place to eat. The food was excellent and plenty of dishes to choose from."
