"We stayed in the White room, which was simple and gorgeous, we had a super king size bed and fresh white sheets. Towels and sheets were changed regularly and the complimentary toiletries were very good quality products. On arrival there was a complimentary bottle of wine and sweets to share. "These apartments are decorated so nicely with antiques and attention to details that it feels like home. The rooms are much larger than others we have stayed in. The owner is very accommodating and offers wonderful breakfast and welcome drinks. The hostess, Francesca, makes delicious food and is so sweet and helpful in every I would definitely come here every time I visit Crete."

"I ended up staying at Casa Modiano for over a week and was able to stay in several rooms. Room 5 with a couch was my favorite because it was a bit more spacious but all three rooms I had were lovely. Great decor, incredible location, delicious breakfast. Loved sitting on the balcony sipping wine, feeling the breeze off the ocean and writing. Near everything but one street removed from the waterfront noise. Much more charming. "

"George the the bellhop was extremely helpful , friendly, and gave us some recommendations on our route to see a few of the closest beaches. The hotels in a great location close to the port with plenty of really good food. Options parking was very convenient and breakfast was really delicious. Would stay again."

"Nice selection of restaurants within walking distance even with some closed already for the season. Hotel was just as pictured. Very clean and quiet. A little noisy in the morning as stores were setting up but I had the windows open. Staff was pleasant and Marta was particularly helpful. 2 👍👍"

"Location of sublime! Tons of restaurants nearby, really good ones too. Lots of shopping as well. Breakfast buffet was very impressive, top quality and exceptional. My only issue was that the room was very small and more suitable for one person, not two. Otherwise, an excellent option. Private parking as well which we appreciated."
