"Overall it was good and enjoyable 3 night stay, on the downside there was no mention of the swimming pool being closed for the 4 days we were there and definitely no mention on the website that 3rd fix building work was taking place until we had booked and paid, then we were informed. Very sneaky Marriot! Overall though, really nice hotel for the money and very nice rooms indeed.."

"Birds farm is a lovely place to stay for the local Essex or Sussex area. Very quiet in the evenings, despite being just off a busy road. Great facilities, good comfy beds, very warm heating and well supplied cooking facilities. A pool for summer, grounds and a Summer house and a well stocked games room for kids if the weather is bad. "The Rose and Crown was a lovely timber framed building but with modern facilities. The room was large, warm and comfortable with a couple of easy chairs which were an added bonus. The shower was good and easy to use. The breakfast was well presented and good and the staff were all pleasant and created a relaxed atmosphere"

"Friendly welcome. Tidy well proportioned room. Some street noise but not enough to interfere with good comfortable nights sleep. Rooms away from street available. Nice clean bathroom with very efficient shower. Breakfast served to table arrived as order and good quality. Again staff curteous efficient and well presented. Will stay there again. "
