"It was clean and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. They only had one ice machine and it didn't work well. The front desk employees were professional but not friendly and didn't seem very happy. But again they did their jobs and were professional. Overall happy with my stay."

"This is a very cute place. My wife really likes the inner courtyard…quaint and cozy. The rooms are a bit dated but still cute. Feels more like a B&B than a hotel. The sparkling wine was a nice touch for our VIP package! This is our second time staying here, both for UCSB parent’s weekend. While about 10min from campus, it was only a couple minutes to State street and all that it offers. You can walk to the main beach/pier easily. I wish the pool/hot tub hours ran later though! "The good: friendly, accommodating staff, clean, well kept landscaping and lots of places to sit outside. It is close enough to State Street to walk. Area for improvement: a bit dated with beds and chairs in the room not being really comfortable, no shampoo/conditioner in the room, no heat (they brought a heater) and doesn’t feel very secure. I think my mom would really enjoy this place but for the price it probably isn’t somewhere I’d stay again."
