" We arrived at the hotel during the night when it was already dark. In the morning, as I woke up and looked out the window, the view was simply breathtaking. The area is stunning and very inviting. Parking at night is available around the hotel, with free public parking until the morning. "This place exceed expectations, the church and naturist vibe were amazing. Who needs a TV or AC anyhow. Amazing views of the ocean, nice outside area with tables for enjoying a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. Went in July and even without AC temperatures overnight was in the low 60F. Close to two trails to Monterosso and Vernazza. For the true hiker who wants to be away from the tourist this place is the perfect fit"

"We were so happy with Pensione Sorriso! We were greeted on our arrival, given lots of information about the hotel, and shown our room. The staff member was excellent. I believe her name was Elenora? She was so incredible and helpful Friday & Saturday. We saw her working so hard for every guest to make sure they were happy and had everything they needed. We were so impressed by her. We will come back here for future vacations. "

"Despite not staying in the main hotel and alternatively having to climb many steps to the room and with luggage it can be hard the room itself was a joy and a treat. Decorated tastefully in the locale flavor and the view of the sea and having the large patio was nice. Breakfast was very plentiful. service welcoming and very hospitable towards all the guests to make sure the stay was pleasurable. "

"The stag was incredibly friendly. The location is really great. The room that we “upgraded to” was tiny. They also told us when we checked in they upgraded us further to a nicer room than we purchased but I didn’t see how that could be. The room was just a bed with a small desk and a bathroom. Again, great staff, great location but the room itself left something to be desired. We could clearly hear the people in the room across the hall as if they were standing in the bathroom talking to us....

"Hotel Porto Roca is absolutely beautiful. Rooms are brand new - super clean, modern, wonderful bathroom. Our room was a 2 room suite with a large balcony overlooking the sea - absolutely stunning views. Breakfast buffet was very nice with a large selections. Hotel offers transportation to and from main part of town - a very short walk but with luggage transportation is was very beneficial. Highly highly recommend this hotel . "

"We had a fantastic stay at this property - it was perfect for our needs. It was quiet but still very convenient to the train station. Our host Rebecca was absolutely amazing, she helped us in many ways - including recommendations and helping us with which passes to buy to explore the towns. The room was clean and everything that we needed as a home base. We would definitely stay again."

Our Best Experience in Italy

"We had been traveling in Italy for 2 weeks when we arrived in Riomaggiorie and Terre Prime Suite. Veronica, the most amazing host we have ever met kindly provided transport from La Spezia train station to the Suite. Her adorable son serves as her Porter. The suite itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and very comfortable. The bed was larger than our King size at home and we slept so well during our 3 night stay. The bathroom is huge and includes a steam shower and sauna. There is also a hot tub, which is very private. We arranged for breakfast to be included and Veronica made sure we had more food than we could have ever imagined! In fact, she provided bags so that we could enjoy leftover Focaccia for our lunch while we hiked. She can answer any and all questions you may have and truly makes you feel like a member of her family. As for Riomaggorie, of the 5 cities of the Cinque Terra, Riomaggorie was our favorite. The harbor is exceptionally beautiful and you really get a feel for how residents from the area live. Plenty of restaurants to please any seafood or focaccia lover, and of course…the gelato! The ferry ride to the 5 cities is not to be missed as you get an amazing perspective from the sea. Our time spent in Riomaggorie was the most memorable of all our time spent in the beautiful country of Italy, and Veronica and her beautiful Terre Prime Suite were a big reason why. Highly recommend, you will make a friend for life when you meet Veronica."
