"A short drive from the airport, First Hotel is an excellent hotel with high quality rooms and facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the private tours were great - especially the Mekong Delta day trip. Staying in a non-touristy area was an immersive cultural experience. "Good place for price. Stayed only 1 night awaiting flight transfer, and it was very close to the airport (walkable with limited luggage) which was great for us. Very friendly staff and functional air conditioning which was necessary! Would stay here again for a similar purpose, though would probably stay closer to tourists sites if staying in the city longer. "

"We had a great stay at the Equatorial. We had kids also and the staff was friendly and helpful (sadly this is not the norm at all 5-star properties in Vietnam, so it was a nice experience). The pool is great, I would recommend a room by the pool. The food was also very food (slightly pricy compared to alternatives, but comparable). I would recommend this hotel as great option for visiting HCMC. "

"Overall it was a great hotel however the lifts took ages, it opened the faculties up to a lot of people who do not stay at the hotel. Hard to get a day bed by the pool, the pool tiles were all falling off and the pool edging was dirty and run down. The coffee served for breakfast was terrible and the machine kept breaking down. The iced coffees were disappointing. Could not fault the service and offerings at the seafood buffet, it was 10/10. "
