The Quarter Hualamphong by UHG

4.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (271)
"The hotel is okay, the rooms are not bad and the service is very good. The only issue I had was around the bar as the bartender does not really know how to make mixed drinks and their wine is out of a box. The one advantage is that it is next to Hua Lampong subway station and there is a Starbucks right beside the hotel. It is a few minutes away from Chinatown if you like that area. "

"A fabulous stay at the Grand China Bangkok hotel. Lots of things to do around the area, great massage places, walkable attractions, easy to grab a taxi, safe, hotel is part of a shopping mall so convenient. Starbucks also part of the building. My room was on the 17th floor with lovely views. The room was spacious and clean. It is also the floor was GenZ bar. Hotel staff all friendly and welcoming. "My GF and I stayed here last year and the only reason we stayed again was because we were familiar with the property and it has a great location. Ironically, we were put into the same room we stayed in the previous year. I can tell you that we will NOT be back. When we arrived, even though the hotel was not full they made us wait until 3 to check in. Then when we’re finally allowed to check in we found that the so we had to carry 2 heavy suitcases and 2 backpacks up four flights of stairs. Then...

"The staff were brilliant, kind, polite and helpful. The beds were very hard and the bathrooms need upgrading as well as the air conditioning. We upgraded to a deluxe room and found it strange that the tv was in front of the beds and not in the seating area. There were not enough plug sockets either. They also need to stop the chinese visitors from smoking in their rooms as this came through our air conditioning unit which was annoying as we don't smoke and it is supposed to be a no smoking...
