This is a nice hotel in a great location, but they need to do better with cleanliness in the rooms, at least the one I stayed in.

For the price paid, Hotel Sumittaya fell significantly below our expectations. The only part of this hotel that is well maintained is the lobby, the rooms are in a deteriorating state. For exemple our room had rips in the bed linens, scuffed walls, stained rugs and bugs crawling on the counter. Would strongly encourage to find other accommodations.

The hotel is really convenient and affordable. The breakfast was really nice as well. The staff are more than help full. The bed is quite hard but the refitted it with a topper in a jiffy. All in all we would definitely come back in the future.

Great location in the old town. Just a short walk to The Phea Gate. Lana square food court is right around the corner. I will definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Nice clean modern hotel. Good location, several places to eat a short walk away. Staff excellent, always helpful despite the occasional difficulties understanding my Scottish accent.

Everything was great. Hot water pressure and temperature. AC. Elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean. No bugs or mosquitos. Safe worked. Had a useable desk and chair. This is my favorite quadrant of old town Chiang Mai Now, that bed. Blanket was fine but wow the mattress was comedically hard. No springs nor foam. Felt and sounded like a cardboard / plywood box under there. A yoga mat on concrete would have been comparable. Never felt anything quite like it. Pro Tip: hug one of the big pillows while you sleep to offset some weight with more padding. Otherwise awesome!

The style of the hotel is minimalist and is very clean. The location was great for walking.

This hotel is in the perfect location in the center of it all. There are many restaurants and places to go nearby. Breakfast should be expanded at this place....not many vegetarian options and it does not compare with other hotels in the area that are cheaper. I think the overall service is good though. Showers were also lukewarm, this may have been only my experience but it if you like a hot shower this may be something to consider...

Loved the location. Walking distance to many sights. My only complaint was for the bed in the room. The mattress felt like a cardboard and was very uncomfortable to sleep on.

Would highly recommend staying at this hotel -- the location cannot be beat! It was close to nightlife, close to amazing food, located in the prime part of old town Chiang Mai. The staff is very helpful in identifying great attractions and excursions to join, and they accommodated all of our different requests. Overall, we had a great stay here -- clean rooms, simple amenities, breakfast included, and great location!

The location is not bad, room is clean and tidy, the staff are friendly. Water for shower is not hot enough, neither the water temperature for shower nor washbowl could be adjust. It was quite noisy when people from the same floor going in and out, sound proofing could be improved.

The location is excellent. However, the hotel is located close to a famous club so it was rather noisy. We could hear the music playing from our room.

The laundry service was great. We dropped it off at the front desk in the evening, then returned to the desk the next afternoon and it was all done. The beds were pretty firm, but some people would really like this firm of a bed. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. When we would ask for things or for help they remembered our room number. I would be more than happy to stay here again.
