"Great central hotel. Reception staff very friendly. Room was clean and bed very comfortable."

"We had a lovely stay here! The staff were lovely and very helpful. We had 2 spa treatments, massage and Indian head massage, which was amazing, very relaxing. The hotel was decorated for Christmas which made the stay extra special. We did notice some areas of the hotel that could do with touching up and very squeaky floor boards while walking around the hotel. The spa facilities had everything especially loved the sauna. We did noticed again that the area around the pool could do with a clean throughout the day and the changing room, maybe just need to be kept on top off but noting that would stop me coming back. "

"Mixed Review, the place is beautiful! Lovely location, lovely place with friendly helpful staff and large spacious rooms. We had a room with two doubles beds which was nice. We only stayed 1 night and also went to the morning spa that was very nice. The down side, we ate in the Redmans restaurant thinking it would be really good. Unfortunately my partners starter of mushrooms wasn’t very nice and worst of all we both had sirloin steak as a main which was the worst steak we’ve both ever had. It’s a real shame as we were looking forward to the meal. We would stay there again as the place is beautiful but would be extremely cautious about eating there again. Spoilt the night for us to be honest. "

"I had a birthday party lunch and stayed over at the hotel with family for a few days. Everything was just perfect - the food, the staff, the atmosphere etc. Seb the general manager was extremely helpful & friendly and went all out to make it a special occasion for us. Sophie the assistant restaurant manager and all the staff were fantastic. Would definitely highly recommend & look forward to our next visit. Thank you once again "

"What fantastic staff, nothing was too much trouble and they were so friendly. Room was clean and comfortable - we had the family room which was a main bed (huge!) and a separate room with 2 singles. Bathroom was a little tired but plenty of hot water and towels. Breakfast was continental style, plenty of it and for an extra £2 you can have a bacon or sausage bap. Easy to find - in the service area off the motorway. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we're in the area."

"I treated my husband to a night at the Chester Grosvenor for his birthday, and what a special night it was. Check in was smooth, and I was pleasantly surprised to be told continental breakfast was included in my rate (I had forgotten), or you can upgrade to a full cooked for around £12pp. The room was large, with a huge bed and a nice large clean bathroom. Our meal in La Brasserie was just delightful, my husband is still raving about the pig cheeks starter, the venison main he had, and the artisan cheeses to finish off with. Our first time to have a bottle of Lebanese wine too! All very nice. We finished off with a night cap at the bar. The hotel was decked out all Christmassy as our stay was end of November and it looked so pretty. All the staff are so friendly and like to have a joke with you. We will definitely be back here. "

"Stayed 1 night at the Moxy Chester, having previously stayed at the Moxy in Manchester. Did not disappoint. Set on the canal, easy to reach the centre. Staff were wonderful, lovely relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely stay again."
