"We had a lovely relaxing weekend here, the lodge was ideal as a base and the bar and restaurant areas were lovely. Food was great and we enjoyed a really nice evening meal here. Highlight for us though was the really lovely hard working staff! "

"Hotel was amazing, room was spotless, staff were very kind and polite in all aspects. Bar/restaurant felt very homely and food was delicious, could probably do with a few more draught beers choices but this is very minor considering everything else was spot on. Didn’t expect there to be many parking spaces with the location but the car park was pretty big and definitely catered for all guests that would come via car. Everything you needed in the room, didn’t need to ask for anything. Coffee machine was a brilliant touch, water pressure from the shower was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone. "

"Am giving yhis a very low rateing of 2 stars. I payed £130 for a room breakfast and use of pool. Put on arrival i got told pool and sauna is not included to which i had tp pay exter £10 each. The pool and the spa was cold The steam room stayed on for 5min then went off for 10min as it was on a timer we then had to pay extra for breakfast This is not clealy showing on there site as you pay for just room only. when i booked myself in at the desk the afternoon staff at the desk were very helpful. The next mornin i went down to the deck To be stud around for 10min as no staff were on the desk. I then came back down to hand my key in. Myself and 2 other customers was stud around again for 10min as no staff. But some good points the Rooms were clean and bed was really comfortable. I will not be staying at that hotel again as it miss leadingthat you have to pay extra for breakfast, the use of the pool and towels. "

"Great location and views. Poor marking and signs for car park and disabled bays. Sadly I made a mistake parking in an unmarked disabled bay at the front. (Didn’t know there was more parking) got a nice call saying please can I move the van which I did. But came back after dinner with another work van in the same space. Moaned about it and won’t lie was pretty miffed off. In the morning van was still there. Cba with being told to move and not telling others to move. Whilst we’re at it the pool was warm (decent) cold walking back to changing rooms after swim) sauna takes more than the time I spent in it to be any where near hot enough to want to ever go back (830am) had to work out how to get it on with no info to explain. Breakfast brilliant staff great except for check in where one lady said she was too busy doing something and was higher up than the other ( who was also busy) made her break off and check us in. She was up herself and needs to respect the other lady who clearly was lovely and brushed it off. Nice hotel great staff and good food. Brilliant beach and views. Not a great location to trains from location if you’re not fit enough to walk 15-20 mins but luckily iam. Great pubs in town and good options for food"

"Incredible location close to everything, friendly staff, good value. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with nice views, lots of amenities including kettle, full bath. Llangollen is a beautiful, friendly town with local shops/no franchises. There are wonderful walks along canals to waterfalls, deserted abbeys. "

"Stayed in a King Suite which was amazing. Spa was lovely and very clean. Ate in the restaurant one night which was also very nice. Relaxing and highly recommended."

"Second stay, just as enjoyable as the first. Staff are friendly, rooms are a good size though it can be a bit of a walk from reception and a little maze like. Nice location although the building itself is showing signs of its age. Spa downstairs is well equipped and there are lots of peacocks wandering around the grounds. Area is very nice, close to Snowdon, not too far from Chester or the coast. "
