"This is the most wonderful place to stay! Super charming, wonderful and helpful staff, and most spacious and comfortable rooms. There is parking and the gate closes at night for security. The restaurant is elegant and fine dining. This was one of the best dinners we had in France. The Auberge is walking distance to Chenonceau. We will only stay here for future visits!"

"Everything was good, except the hotel was understaffed. There was only one person there, and he was working very hard, cheerfully, with a great attitude. But for a sizable tourist crowd, they need more than one person. The front desk was supposed to be open at 8 AM. But no one answered the phone and nobody was physically there until about 4 PM."

"This was the best place we stayed on our driving trip around France. The hosts were accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was great with a lot of jams made by the host. Even the dogs were very well behaved. The house was comfortable, clean, and modern. Parking was secure and we enjoyed the pool. Some of the other guests were return visitors and I understand why."

"We had a difficult time with checking in. At first we could not find anyone or even the front desk. The instructions say to go to the front desk but it was closed even though we were within the open hours. We didn’t get great instructions when checking in and had trouble with the locks. The property is stunning but a long way from any amenities. Not walkable to any restaurants. "The picture did not do this hotel justice. It was much more charming. We had the seven course dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was delightful, artfully presented, wonderfully served, and in a great setting. We stumbled across this hotel when travel delays changed pur plans and we had to find a room fast. It was a great find on Expedia and one of the lodging highlights of our two weeks in France."

The property has incredible potential, the chateau has remarkable old details that will be restored and the new owners are working hard to bring it up to 4-star status. "Beautiful Chateau in a quiet and tranquil area. Old rustic charm creates a wonderful experience. The staff are fantastic! "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay here. A five-minute walk to the chateau de Chenonceau and short drives to many others. Excellent service. Plan to dine in the restaurant; the cuisine is wonderful with fair prices and excellent servers, and the atmosphere on the beautiful terrace couldn’t be better. Very quiet at night. Easy parking. Hard to imagine what else one could want. (A personal note: I stayed in this hotel about 20 years ago. When deciding to return to this area, I remembered the staff and how much I had enjoyed my stay and selected it again. I will select it the next time as well and recommend it to friends. The hotel is run by the same management as it was 20 years ago. It is beautiful, and the people running it are terrific! Wonderful time! I will certainly be back. Thank you to all the staff!)"
