"Always great when we stay at the little hide. We have been a few times just me and my fellas little getaway. Its our peace place with out the kiddies. Lovely and quite this time of year. Was on the cold side with the weather but the heater in the pod was amazeing at keeping you toastie. The only down fall for me was the magpie that seemd to haunt me whilst there hahaha. Really funny. The cafe food is excellent good price. Absolutely love this place."

"Very few properties are perfect and this property had a few issues, but these pale in comparison to the convenience, location, professionalism, and cleanliness. The staff more were truly amazing and they themselves deserve five stars. They were accommodating, considerate, professional, efficient, kind, and truly represented the very best of York. I would be inclined to make these apartments my go to place for any future visits to York."

"Surprisingly larger, great price, friendly staff. Checkin was a little challenging as not obvious where reception was - tucked away down back access / alleyway but that’s a minor niggle."

"My second stay at the property and I would book again. Convenient flat with plenty of amenities within walking distance, includingsupermarkets, takeaways and convenience stores. Friendly owner with excellent communication and handover for property."

"Stayed here with a friend for 2 nights. Location is great, really close to the station 4/5 min walk max, and close to all the bars and restaurants. Stairs up to the apartment for those it may affect. Great to have parking. Comfy rooms and well equipped "

"The apartment was spotlessly clean, with comfy seating, and everything we needed for cooking. The bed was massive and very comfortable. Location is perfect, and even though it's on a busy road, we didn't really hear noise from the road."

Friendly staff

"Really great hotel, made exceptional by the wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble, friendly and helpful especially Jennifer in the restaurant at breakfast who was able to give all the local tips and advice, and Reece in admin who helped change my booking. Choice at breakfast was very good. Pool was nice and clean as were changing areas. Found the pillows weirdly lumpy but apart from that it was an excellent stay in a great location"

Overnight stay with hubby

"Had an excellent nights stay in York at this hotel . Parking arranged in advance on line at q park The Shambles which was approximately a five minutes walk away . I used the hotels discount code obtained by ringing them and this cost £19 for 24 hours There is a car park much nearer to the hotel which may be worth checking as it may be cheaper. Couldn't find any fault with the hotel . Excellent location . Marvellous staff who were friendly and professional , and managed to get us checked in early. The room was spotless with a comfy bed , big shower , hair shampoo/conditioner, body lotion, hairdryer , iron and board and a small fridge . The buffet breakfast was superb with a great selection of hot and cold food There was even a waffle maker for use. The hotel is a few minutes walk from The Shambles and there are plenty of bars, restaurants , and shops nearby. I honestly couldn’t fault the Hampton by Hilton , and look forward to staying there again on our next visit to fabulous York "
