"We had a great time at The Amelia this past weekend. The property is beautiful, and we loved how the whole house was usable to our discretion: there was a living room with a fireplace, the kitchen was stocked with breakfast items and snacks kindly prepared by the hosts, and the backyard had a fire pit perfect for the cold weather we experienced. The rooms were also very cozy and spacious. Would definitely go back again or recommend to anyone considering a trip to the area!"

"Great place to stay for a weekend getaway to Hudson, NY. As there is no staff you get a code for the front door and a code to access your room. Super easy and efficient. Nice room and bathroom, and very clean"

"Pro: Cute design, luxe feeling finishes... Great bed and linens, towels are plush, bathroom floors are heated. My room had a fireplace and a tub. Con: the road noise is BAD. I was told this is on the truck route around the center of Hudson. By 4 am the trucks are rolling loud. Also, it is a wonderful old historic home, set up like an upscale B and B sort of, so bedrooms are off the main staircase, if someone upstairs goes downstairs for coffee early in the morning , you will hear them."

"Nicely appointed big clean room. No lobby or staff. It’s all self check in. Great location just steps from everything in Hudson. Only issue is the noise. I would definitely stay again but only if I was on the 2nd floor. "

"Room was great, service friendly and helpful. We arrived during a snow storm and parking was easy and snow was shoveled and ground throughly salted which was much appreciated. Only disappointment was the continental breakfast. It was lackluster and just like you’d get at a Hampton inn. We are also disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open for dinner Sunday night. "

"My room was clean with fresh sheets and duvet on a comfortable bed. I loved the walk-in ceramic shower. The curtains show a little wear but that did not bother me. The location cannot be surpassed as you can walk to many restsurants and shops. I will definitely stay here again. There are some renovations going on, but again, that did not bother me. The owner was most cordial and welcoming. I did not try the included breakfast because I was exhausted and slep in the first morning. The 2nd morning I had a 6:17 a.m. train so I missed it again. I did look over the dining area and saw plenty of cereal and a spotless waffle maker. Either of those would have suited me. On first approach, don't be put off by the large front window full of construction materials. You should not compare this property with Hilton or Marriott, else you will be disappointed. But you are paying $300 a night, either just for a place to rest or sleep and shower. In the end, it is what you are comfortable with and what you are willing to pay for. I will definitely return for another stay."
