"We booked a room, showed up before checkin time and they were not operating yet for the season. Mistakes happen, so we weren’t too upset as we found a nearby room at Hotel Portobello . The groundskeeper told us to get a refund thru Expedia. Expedia contacted the hotel, the hotel denied our refund. They said we didn’t cancel within the cancelation time frame?? This place is such a scam. I do not recommend unless you want to risk losing your money. "

"This hotel was not my first choice. It was the only place with accommodation during the period of my visit. Expedia and the hotel web site state check-in is at or after 4:30PM. "While the evening staff was very welcoming and the room large, everything else in this hotel was extremely disappointing. The shower was tiny and the water flow was hardly a drizzle. The room was basic and the furniture - old. Breakfast was basic compared to standard Italian hotels, and most tables in the restaurant were filthy with leftovers and crumbs from previous guests.
