It needs a major face lift: mold/dirt on balconies outside, inside the vinyl furniture is torn or has holes in many places and housekeeping took our extra pillows saying we were not allowed to have them! "We used the Hotel Venere as a bed and breakfast base to cycle around the Parco Nazionale del Cilento e Vallo di Diano. Being out of the main holiday season the area was quite with only one restaurant open in Ascea - but this had the advantage that the roads were quite. The hotel is only a short distance from the railway station meaning that it was easy to transport bikes."
