"The pool was closed and has been for some time as they are rebuilding it. This was not advertised when booking nor was it communicated to us afterwards. Bike hire and meals also need to be arranged the day before , again this wasn't communicated to us when booking or when speaking to the reception on the phone prior to arriving. It's a lovely village but I think it's not ok to advertise facilities that aren't available as this was a big reason why we chose it. I would definitely go again though...

"We stayed a week at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the room and other facilities and breakfast buffet were brilliant. What could improve a longer stay (like ours) is more food options for the evening (more casual dining options too), clearer roles for staff serving in the restaurant (some confusion there), and a heated outside spa pool. Other than that - really great!"

"Flor de Esteva was more than great. If you have the chance to book the room with the yard, it’s definitely worth the few extra dollars. All around perfect location if you’re looking to visit Sagres."

"Super friendly staff, very attentive and accommodating. Unexpected large rooms, cold and quiet A/C. Great breakfast and food. Best value for money in the Portugal coast. Will recommend to anyone going to the Praia de Luz area. Will come back! "

"We stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin. It was adorable! It had everything we needed, a cute kitchen , fully equipped! The bed was really firm and comfortable. Nice deck to sit out on and roomy table to play games and eat. I would highly recommend it!"

"Awesome with large rooms with kitchenettes, and powerful hot showers. Very clean. Desk staff not so friendly & we had to wait on our riom but other staff great. There is a pool but it was raining when we were there, so we did not use. Fantastic breakfast with breads, fruit, oatmeal, eggs, corn flakes, meats, cheese, yogurt, & coffee or tea. You certainly did not leave hungry. Great location next to a hige supermarket and a short walk to many restaurants. "

"Salema is so very beautiful. Our villa had three different levels to view the town including a spiral staircase to the rooftop which was perfect for viewing the star-filled sky as well as gorgeous sunrise over the water. The beach is a short walk away and there is a wonderful local pastry shop run by Marta (I believe that was her name) not too far away with very reasonable and delicious baked goods. The only negative was that our next door neighbors were loud (but it was also New Year’s Eve so it was understandable). We really loved our stay besides that. Welcoming the new year in Salema and spending the first day of the new year at the beach was a perfect start to 2025. "
