"A large modern hotel on the East side of the village with a lovely harbor view, nice outdoor pool ( chilly in early April) and indoor pool and gym. The breakfast is great. Ask for a sea view room. There are several inexpensive decent restaurants just down the street from the Hotel the Vila Velha being the best (more expensive). Walk out on the undeveloped rocky point to big cliffs overlooking the sea and have a picnic. "

"This is a very nice hotel with staff who can't do enough for you. The made to order breakfast is delicious! Our suite was spacious and very nice with a huge terrace. A couple of little things would make it even better. The bed was too firm for our taste, so I would suggest a cushier mattress when the time comes to replace them. Maybe even a mattress topper in the meantime. Also the tub/shower bottom is very slippery when you're showering so some sort of anti slip material would be a good idea....

"This is a beautiful boutique hotel with a bohemian vibe. The property is quaint with several outside sitting areas. Rooms all have an outdoor sitting area too. It’s a 10 minute walk to the city centre wall and there’s a beautiful walking trail along the water. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included with our room (not included with the apartments) and it was plentiful. Definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet retreat away from hectic life styles. "
