I was locked out because Hotels.com did not deliver. The message to hotel had sent me with special instructions being required for check-in after 9 PM when I contacted Hotels.com I wasted two hours on a chat with them while they’ve berated me for making the mistake...

"Great location and comfortable beds! The staff are super nice and helpful (booked through a third party and there were some discrepancies but Haka House resolved them separately with the third party). Enough showers/bathrooms so we never had to wait. Only complaint is that our room was next to the lounge and that door is closed in the evenings (propped open during the day), which meant whenever ppl came and went at night, it kept slamming due to the door mechanism. Just bring ear plugs and...

"Very close to the centre of Wanaka, basic room but comfortable and clean, fantastic kitchen and eating area and nice chill space on the second floor. Very good value."
