"Lovely place to stay. Comfortable. Many stairs. Vehicle required, but parking is limited. Be very careful to not park in the lower lot, as it is chained at a very early hour in the evening, and you will not be able to access your vehicle until morning."

"The staff at Nova Constantia were awesome. Coco was very welcoming, warm and funny. The ladies preparing and serving breakfast were incredible. The house - calling it a hotel does it a disservice - is beautiful. The rooms warm and inviting, and it really felt like being at a home away from home. "

"Unique property for an overnight stay. Enjoyed the extra touches especially the hot water bottles for a cold African night. We were able to leave our bags safely prior to check in while we went to the Cape, then our room became available so we had an unexpected early check in which was above and beyond. Thank you!"

"Beautiful room in a convenient location for the penguins and close to restaurants, shops etc. stocked with everything you need and a nice balcony. Bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Would definitely recommend."

"Great location, easy walk to harbour front, bars and restaurants. We had the comfort suite, which was seperate to the main guest house. It was very, very spacious, with wonderful views from the master bedroom/lounge on the first floor. It was cold whilst we were there. There is a log burner on each floor which you can purchase firewood/lighters for at reception. This was a must for the cold days. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and helped when needed. "Fantastic hotel, the staff polite and very helpful, nothing too difficult . We had a problem with the room, it was promptly sorted, Mickey was absolutely great. The rooms spacious. The restaurant staff great. Taj cape town has become my new fav hotel. I will absolutely recommend it and will definitely stay there again on my return to cape town. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Bay Hotel. The staff excelled. Our one grip would be the breakfast arrangements which seem in disarray. Tables left uncleared ready for new guest to eat and don’t expect to be offered coffee or tea promptly. We didn’t bother on the second day and ate out. Couldn’t quite work out why there wasn’t a self service station for hot drinks. However this would not deter us from staying again the hotel is in a superb position ."

"I felt like I’m staying with wealthy friends who live on a spectacular ocean-view hill, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but who also have professional staff ensuring warm yet perfect hospitality.
