Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Asheville Downtown Tunnel Road
5/5 Excellent
"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property itself was very clean and attractive. The rooms were also more than expected. We did have an issue with the AC on the 2nd night (not the first and nothing anyone could have prevented or predicted). The staff did compensate for that. I am still giving 5 stars because that was out of anyone's control and some things just happen. The first night was great and the 2nd room had no issues at all."

"The hotel was close to everywhere we wanted to go. We like to walk rather than drive. They had onsite valet parking which is necessary because street parking is very challenging at times.
The happy hour champagne every evening was an unexpected nice touch. However, the lobby sitting area was not very comfortable or inviting. Other hotels had more inviting seating in their lobby area. The lighting in the bathroom (in the room) was not very bright for applying make up but it was spacious. The mirror had a Bluetooth button but it did not work and no one at the front desk knew anything about it. The room was large, spacious, well designed, clean, and quiet. All upper rooms had a nice view of the mountains. The room had a mini refrigerator, closet, and a small safe. The service for breakfast was slow due to limited servers but the staff was nice and as accommodating as they could be. The front desk and valet staff were pleasant and very helpful. We would definitely stay there again. "

"The stay was fine overall and a decent place to lay your head for the night. It's close to most of the stuff downtown when is convenient. My only gripe is the elevator was quite slow and we resorted to just walking the stairs when we came and left haha."
