"Great place to stay if you thinking of walking around the Georgetown area and tourist-attraction sites. It is located in a older historical neighborhood, nearby many great restaurants and komtar First Avenue shopping mall. The hotel was very clean with modern decor. My room was on the third floor facing the Komtar tower view. It had all the basic amenities I needed for the 5 nights stay. 2 guest parking spaces in front and a dining room. There is no gym, or no swimming pool but it has 2 jacuzzi...

"Beware. We booked a “deluxe double room”. Our room was dirty, tiny (zero room to open luggage), and had an extremely steep ladder to the sleeping loft. None of these are shown in website pics. The mosquito net has large holes and doesn’t even fit over the mattress. We left to a clean and spacious room in another hotel for *less money*. Kent reimbursed us only half. I think he fully expects people to leave these “deluxe doubles” and then rebooks the rooms, bringing in extra income this way. ...

"Old historical building. Dated building but well maintained and restored. Excellent location to explore old parts of George Town . Excellent restaurant and Cafe on site. Good street food right next door. Massage at Siam Paradise nearby was excellent. Good for 2-3 days stay to enjoy GeorgeTown and surrounding attractions."

"Unassuming entrance once inside Large new stylish rooms with bath and monsoon shower. In room safe. No refrigerator or tea/coffee. Wifi bit sporadic. TV didn’t work. Good location near bars and restaurants although parts of Chulia St resemble now resemble Kuta. Room fronted onto street and despite double glazing was loud until the wee hours "

"We absolutely loved our stay here. At first we weren't sure if we were entering the lobby or an antique shop but once we were inside we were greeted warmly, our suitcase was whisked upstairs using an ingenious rope pulley, and we were immediately immersed in a place where every single piece of decor was clearly carefully considered to fit within the antique style. "It’s a cozy and quaint colonial style of accommodation, room is huge but the bathroom is a bit dated, needs an uplift. The staffs are very friendly, we enjoyed our stay during our short trip. "

"We loved our room next to the pool. The property is well maintained and really connects to the heritage experience. Nice lap pool which we used to cool off several times. Staff are extremely pleasant and provided everything we needed. Walkable to some sights and easy pick up by Grab when we needed it. Spoke to a member of staff about breakfast and they said they hoped to bring back this option in the future. A very relaxed stay and would definitely recommend Jawi Peranakan Mansion. "
