"A lovely quiet hotel a few minutes drive from the centre of Tinajo where are there are a couple of restaurants and supermarkets. If you want a lively nightlife then this probably isn't for you, but if you want a relaxing break where all of the tourist spots are within a 30 minute drive then this place is great. "We had a rented car but you can come to stay here by bus. It provides free transport to Lanzarote airport. The breakfast was excellent with chosable eggs, and excellent cold meat selections. One of the best possible o/night or longer stays near the airport."

"We came by the property a bit by chance but so glad we did. The room and accommodation was very comfortable and modern. The staff were superb and could not do enough for you and the buffet breakfast had a very wide choice and was fresh and cooked to order each day."

"This is a traditional house, very nicely renovated. The best thing is the delightful terrace with a lovely view. This is where you have a very nice, very well presented breakfast. We were rather disappointed with our room. Although spacious it was far from luxurious and we had problems with the plumbing twice in 9 nights. Yaiza is a very quiet little town and for a better choice of restaurants it is easy to drive to El Golfo or Playa Quemada, both by the sea."

"La Penita is in a great location. Check in was very pleasant and quick. Our apartment was clean enough and had plenty of kitchen equipment. The towels are small and very well worn. Maid came twice during our stay and again on day before we left to empty bin and leave clean towels. The beds are two singles pushed together , we found that to be very uncomfortable. There isn't any air conditioning, but a fan over bed and stand up fan in main living area. Sun loungers have seen better days. The...

"Overall a great hotel location very good .This hotel was lovely , fresh & clean...staff very pleasant. However , the pool did not seem to be heated which in the cloudy weather was disappointing. Pool area lacked a little atmosphere , would of liked maybe some activities, maybe aqua aerobics. Breakfast was pretty much standard.Sea view not what we expected , it was more a side sea view. "

"Overall we had a lovely week staying at the Secrets Lanzarote Resort. We award a 5* for the staff, especially Macarena, Head of Customer Experience, for her professionalism, approachability, and all round efforts to make our stay go well. Any disappointment we felt was more around the island itself, which doesn't offer a great deal for the visitor who doesn't want to sit by the pool all day every day. But we were saved by having hired a car and we explored what little there is on the island. Secrets is a 4 * hotel which is comfortable and welcoming and a relaxing place to be. "
