Very nice hotel opposite to the pavilion garden, had a great view from our room. The breakfast was great and the dinning area is nicely decorated. Rooms are spacious, warm and comfortable.

Comfy four poster and nice bedding, the building itself is obviously old and a bit tired in terms of decor, bit of a renovation needed. Staff were very professional and attentive. Breakfast was excellent, good quality produce.

A quaint traditional hotel. Comfortable, clean but slightly dated. It was however in a convenient spot in Buxton, offered reduced parking rates, though parking was “pot-luck!” Staff friendly and obliging. No food availability after 9.00pm.

Great Hotel, steeped in History and so convenient for Buxton and importantly on this trip The Opera House. The staff in reception, bar and breakfast were brilliant and we thoruoghly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely room with a large bathroom..quiet and comfortable..absolutely no faults...we had lunch in the bar..delicious..especially the camembert.

Really poor stay. Second-level room was more like a basement and had as near to no fresh air possible. Bathroom had stains on the walls, cobwebs in corners, and dust caked on the towel rack. Included breakfast was buffet-style and nothing to write about. Service was overall sub-par, bordering on negligent. Buxton itself is lovely but we’ll steer clear of the Old Hall next time we’re here.
