"Very convenient for getting around Greenpoint, and a five minute walk to the subway if you want to take the 7 into Manhattan. There is also a nice bar with decent menu and a great bartender if you want to stay "home" for the night. I have stayed at the Box Hotel 6-8 times, and the only downside is they do a great wedding business, so you do have do deal with some noise from events. But the crowds are always well behaved. No issues so far. "

"I didn't like that inorder to check in early during a snow storm, i was charged $70 per day of my stay! I understood paying it for the first day, but everyday??? I traveled 300 miles and was not expecting to pay an extra $210.00. How about giving out of towners a break in storm situations? Great staff, great views, etc. I will return, hopefully in better weather. "

"Decent Room,quite clean. Thin walls, could hear the next room's TV and yelling. hHd to pay $20 just to park behind the hotel. Bed rolls around, sort of annoying. Basic breakfast on the first floor, with a waffle maker which was a nice touch. the pillows were atrocious, never had such a lumpy pile of garbage under my head. Overall a decent budget hotel to sleep for a night."
