"Checkin was very friendly and helpful. Photos a bit misleading as kitchen area is shared between three rooms. Bathroom was pretty cold (studio room) and shower cubicle cosy/small with a general musty smell. Bed was comfortable but location on the main road meant it’s a noisy night if you’re a light sleeper. "I was lead to believe (from hotels.com presentation) I had a cabin with a private hot tub, and would therefore expect an en-suite. I had a double room with shared facilities, very poor accessible shower. Room was clean and fine for my needs. I didn’t read the fine print so had difficulty in gaining entry, but after numerous phone calls (answer phone messages) and a prolonged email chat, access was afforded. "We had roooms in the converted stables and they were great. The accessible room was perfect for someone with poor mobility. The food was good, but the service in the restaurant was extremely slow, waiting almost an hour after ordering for cereal and croissants for breakfast. However, the staff were lovely and very apologetic. "

"Loved the house and its beautiful original features. Our room was in the basement but had lots of light and our own door to use so felt like an apartment. Large room with tasteful decor and modern bathroom. Huge bed which was extremely comfortable so slept well for 3 nights we stayed .Hospitality tray well stocked .Breakfast was superb- locally sourced top quality ingredients, good choice, and staff helpful and friendly- nothing was too much trouble. Only 15 minutes walk into centre of town ....
