"Our stay at Hotel Nacional Rio de Janeiro OFICIAL proved to be great, we only wished we could have stayed longer. The ocean view from our room was utterly amazing. The suite was spacious and well designed. We spent a lot of time out in the town, however the highlight of our stay was phonmenal bartender named Wanderson, he took pride in service and even more in his cocktails. We would definitely recommend this property. "

"We were a little worried about going to Rio with some of the advisories, but we had an amazing trip. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, the dining and shopping amazing and the beaches unparalleled. My husband even forgot his phone in a cab and it was returned within the hour! Went to a fotbol game and the experience was awesome. We would highly recommend Rio and the Fairmont. "

"The only frustration for the most part was not being able to charge and having to buy a port which barely worked. Also I arrived early on my flight and had to sit in the lobby for hours to wait which was a little discouraging. The hotel bar staff was great. Overall it was decent. "

"Everything is great at this hotel except for the breakfast. My partner is Brazilian and he said that the breakfast buffet wasn’t Brazilian enough. In my opinion, the quality of the buffet items was poor. The doughnuts were chewy for example. The eggs are a little runny. The coffee is not strong enough. Why did they decide they needed to be continental? Why didn’t they keep it traditional?"

"Good hotel right on the beach amenities as advertised with a nice roof terrace. Only slight downside is the fact that there is no parking at the hotel but there is a garage one block away with acceptable prices. "

Relax and enjoy the view.

"The hotel is classically beautiful with its spacious rooms, colourfully and tastefully decorated. I'm not surprised many celebrities have stayed there! The bed is super comfortable and the blackout blinds left all the day light outside so we could have a nice lie in the next morning. The hotel is super clean and tidy. They offer you a glass of champagne upon arrival making you feel very welcomed. The staff are really friendly and helpful, they go an extra mile to ensure you're satisfied. The pool area is just gorgeous with the colourful parasols contrasting with the pure white of the building around it! Very romantic. The location is wonderful, you just have to cross the road to be at the iconic Copacabana beach. It was throughout a fantastic experience and we'd love to be back again soon. "
