We both had the full English breakfast which was superbly cooked and high quality, and check in was easy and convenient. "We love this place. Have been there 3 times with our dogs. Walking them is so easy there is a large green area just outside or a walkway around the estate, just what you need early morning and bedtime. The staff are great they are professional courteous and friendly. Emma the manageress is a joy and works really hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. The chef also needs a shout also, the meals are top class. "

"Excellent service at our 4th stay. Foods brilliant and theres alway good beer and gins etc at the log fire heated bars. Room was warm and bed really nice. Hot shower was also good with its downpour in a jungle type fittings. Room2, right by the stairs but not at all noisy. "This place has a lot of potential as a classic country hotel. Check in wasn’t particularly welcoming and first impressions count. We were shown to our room and it was cold with no lights on. The receptionist who wasn’t friendly was shocked when I commented on that… Breakfast was slow but we were relaxed and enjoyed the views. Good quality though and plenty of options. Room 2 was lovely (once the heating and correct lighting had been turned on) with great views. Comfy bed and good linens....
