"The complex had everything we needed. Spacious and clean apartment with an amazing view over Funchal and the sea, with a nice size balcony and outdoors seating. The downside was the road in-between the accommodation and the facilities. It was quiet late at night although the traffic in the morning with all the tourist vehicles coming up the hill was rather noisy. We live in a village, so noticed it. "Experience was fantastic! Private pool with incredible views and setset from your room. Super helpful and professional staff, we disnt even know they were there! Breakfast and dinner were great - awesome honeymoon at Escarpa."

"Property was beautiful. But it is a very busy location and parking between 10:00-19:00 is not free, you might find a free spot about 2km away but good luck w that during busy times. Kept getting expedia email request for personal email because lever insists on sending pictures instead of text instructions. Took 1hr to get into unit just to get correct address and correct unit number, too many message exchanges just to get inside. Entry should be simpler. Once inside all was well. "

"All of pools were quite cold-- I was sold on this property because it said it had a hot tub. The hot tub was located in the spa area and only accessible for an extra $35/day. Other than that, the property is absolutely stunning and one of a kind. Rooms were very comfortable and modern. Excellent service."

"We had a pool suite for a family of 4, and the room was enormous and so luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, and my children said that the sofa bed was too. We absolutely loved the pool on the balcony. Breakfast was very busy, and an amazing number of guests somehow manage to drop food on the floor. The staff were quick to clean it up and replenish the food. We had buffet dinner once and that was really nice. There was a good selection of food that was constantly topped up. The pools were excellent, but it was slightly annoying that other guests hogged the sunbeds by placing towels on them early in the day but didn't go there until later. "
